As we live in different countries and even on the different sides of the world, we use different terminology, measurements etc. Here`s where comparison charts can become quite handy. In Europe we measure crochet hooks and knitting needles in millimeters (mm). In US and UK the sizes are in letters and numbers. Below you`ll find a chart that let`s you easily find crochet hook size in the system most comfortable for you.
The data is based on different charts found on the internet. To me it seems the bigger the hook the more confusing it gets with US sizing. So if you still feel confused or unsure about which hook to choose, I advise you to check out these links as well:
