New year starts with a new freebie!

I am happy to start this year with a new freebie! I named the pattern Egg-shaped cat and you will find it right here. It`s small, fun and easy to make. Everything you want of a free amigurumi crochet project.

The cat has no limbs, but it has a colorful striped body and a long tail. You can turn it into a rattle by inserting a metal or plastic rattle insert. Wonderful toy for babies and real cats!

I used yarn leftover of aran weight merino wool, but as you know amigurumi is very flexible and therefor you can use different type of yarn without any problem.

Share the photos of your finished cat with me and the rest of the world! In Instagram you can use #lilleliis, #lilleliispattern or tag me @lilleliis_official. Or you can always send photos via email or Facebook.

    I’m back again!

After making the 2 versions for my boys, I love them so much I ordered your book “Cuddly Amigurumi Toys” and have almost finished reading the stitches and techniques bit. I couldn’t resist a quick look at the projects though, and I’m looking forward to making them. My boys too. I now need to take pictures of their cats that’d do them justice.

As someone who’s only crocheted a hat (about 3 years ago) apart of granny squares as a teen many eons ago, this pattern is an excellent beginner pattern.

Thank you sooo much! I`m so happy for you. I can see many people turning back to crochet after a long time and it always makes me happy. I think it`s because crochet has changed my life and brought a lot of joy, so I hope it does the same for the others too. Happy hooking!
