Scheepjes Catona is a popular 100% mercerized cotton yarn with a subtle sheen and a smooth, soft finish. Catona is an excellent basic yarn and a reliable choice for making amigurumi, (children’s) clothing, as well as fashion and home accessories. Its wide range of colors offers endless possibilities and inspiration.

Crocheters highly appreciate the yarn’s smooth texture and beautiful sheen. It is praised for its durability, both in use and after washing. Many highlight the fact that Catona does not become fuzzy during crocheting or later with use.

• For amigurumi, use with a 2 or 2.5 mm crochet hook.
• A very good basic yarn for different crochet project like toys, baby clothes and summer hats.

Scheepjes Catona, is manufactured according to strict EU regulations and is certified with the OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Product Class 1 certificate. Product Class 1 certificate holders must meet the strictest of criteria, which is why the Catona is also suitable for making blankets, clothes and toys for babies and toddlers. In addition, the Catona yarn has undergone separate laboratory tests (European Standards DIN EN 71-3), which confirms that the yarn is suitable for the production of toys.

Maintenance

Hand wash in medium temperature (40 °C), dry flat.
