The pattern mixes 2 different yarns in the same weight. The little chick is made with a soft and fluffy chenille yarn, while the beak and egg shells are crocheted in a sleek cotton. The combination of different materials play an important role in the design concept.
Making the chick is really easy and can be completed by a beginner as well. For the egg shells you will need to know more different stitches (half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet) to create the jagged edge.
