This sweet garland features little crochet sun and cloud motifs and makes a lovely decoration for a nursery or kids’ room. Crocheting the simple repeating motifs can be wonderfully calming and therapeutic – and you don’t need to make so many that the project becomes boring!

Make the garland as long as you like, adding as many motifs as needed and adjusting the spacing to suit your space. Use different colors for each motif and give those leftover bits of yarn a new life!

Size & Materials

Size: each cloud motif measures 8 x 5 cm (3.14 x 2 in), and sun motif Ø 6 cm (2.4 in). The example garland is made of 9 motifs and is measured from one end of the strand to the other, about 112 cm (44 in) long.

The pattern uses a 2.5 mm crochet hook with DK (8 ply) weight cotton.
