Amigurumi Blind Cal Part 2

Welcome to Amigurumi BLIND cal Part 2. If you missed the previous post, then here you can find Part 1.

Today we`re going to crochet three small pieces.

Materials you`ll need today:

  • Color A – beige (I used Alize Cotton Gold, shade 262)
  • Color B – light blue (I used Scheepjes Catona, shade 173) – this may be the same weight as the main yarn or only slightly thinner.
  • Crochet hook 2.5 mm (or in accordance to the yarn you use)

Abbreviations:
sc – single crochet, st(s) – stitch(es), rep – repeat

Let`s go!

Use the same instructions for all pieces. Work 2 pieces in color A and 1 piece in color B.

1: Start 6 sc in a magic ring [6]

2: Work 2 sc in each st around [12]

3: (Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times [18]

4: Sc in each st around

Fasten off. Leave long yarn tails for sewing. Weave in the starting yarn tails on the pieces crocheted with color A.

For any questions on today`s part please leave them here in the comments.

I couldn’t find the yarn like you suggested so I picked up some that are the same weight. They’re multicolour though, but I’m loving how it’s turning out. I’m making 2 right now. I can’t wait for day 3!

  2. Sandra Nguyen says:

I decided to “go big or go home.” I’m using Bernat Blanket yarn for this, and stashbusting after a very busy holiday order season! So while I don’t know what I’m making, I know it’s going to be big!

  3. Teri says:

I am really enjoying this blind CAL! I do have a question, because my color B is a bit thinner than color A my circle (color B) is a bit smaller, will this be a problem?

  4. Sarah Smulders says:

Just one question of which I am not sure… do you have to join the 2 circles in color A?

  5. wanda says:

Enjoyed making step one and couldn’t believe how easy it was. Can’t wait to get started on part 2.

  6. Anais says:

The second part is very intriguing… I have no clue what we’re doing but that’s the beauty of the CAL, isn’t it?

  7. Fiona says:

Hi, I don’t have access to the yarn you’ve mentioned at short notice, but that’s ok I’m trying to stash bust. Can you clarify, is the Alize cotton the same weight etc as catona? I am most of the way through the first part but think my replacement for catona May be a little too thin
