Pony with saddle and bridle

In the beginning of the year I made a birthday gift for my 4-years old niece. Quickly before giving it away I took a few photos and am sharing these with you now. She desperately wanted a pony and I saw this as an opportunity for making something new. The main inspiration was this pony found on the internet. It is made to a pattern by Fran Goreham. Love it!

And here`s the pony I designed. I named her Brita.

Sometimes people ask how long does it take to design and finish a new toy. Well with this pony it took 2 weeks.

I used no safety eyes, instead the eyes are crocheted.

Here you can see her without the saddle and bridle. They are removable.

My niece used to have bangs. Therefore I cut the ponies hair similarly.

Now you want to ask if there is a pattern available? No, not yet. This was just my first attempt. I will try to get back to it as soon as possible and then also write an instructions.
