Amigurumi princess doll – vol 2

Let me start by saying – I am so happy with this doll! Do you remember the first version of the princess? Well, I improved it just a little bit. But the biggest change was the colors.

Just like any amigurumi maker, I have lots of yarn at home. But for some reason, when I start a new design it`s such a temptation to buy something specifically for that project. I believe you`ve felt that too! Recently I`ve really held myself back and tried to manage with the materials I have at home. That`s why my first princess wore an aqua blue dress, and the second doll wears lilac. It`s great to challenge yourself in how you make the colors work even if their not your first pick.

This time I used Lana Gatto Class for the hair. It`s a super soft and hairy mixture of merino wool and angora in a beautiful beige color. The only thing I don`t like about this yarn is that it leaves hair on other surfaces as well.

Instead of the simple dress I made a more ruffled version this time. How do you like it? My daughter says she looks like Rapunzel. Mostly because of the dress. Do you think so too?

I am so excited about this new amigurumi princess doll. I´ve started the third one already and hope to show it to you very soon.
